2001-2006 Acura MDX Keyless Entry Remote Fob Programming Instructions

1. Sitting in the vehicle, make sure all doors are unlocked. 

2. Turn the ignition key to the on position - electronics should turn on without starting the engine. 

3. Press the LOCK button on the remote - one click. 

4. Turn the ignition key back to the off position, and leave the key inside. 

5. Turn the ignition key to the on position - electronics should turn on without starting the engine. 

6. Press the unlock button on the remote - one click. 

7. Turn the ignition back to lock (the position where the key is inserted) and leave the key in the ignition.

8. Turn the ignition back to the on position - electronics should turn on without starting the engine. 

9. Press the lock button on the remote - one click. 

10. Turn the ignition back to lock (the position where the key is inserted) and leave the key in the ignition.

11. Turn the ignition key to the on position - electronics should turn on without starting the engine. 

12. Now press the lock button on the remote - one click. The power door locks should cycle through an open and close. This confirms the system is now in programming mode.

13. Press the lock button on the remote. The door locks will cycle again through open/close which means the programming was successful. Repeat only this step (13) for each additional remote you wish to be programmed. 

14. Turn the key back to the lock/off position and remove from the key from the ignition to exit the programming mode.

15. Use your programmed remotes!
